Ivan Garcia offers extensive experience in politics, communications/public affairs, and ballot measures for public entities.
Following the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Ivan supported efforts to defend access to abortion and reproductive freedom by supporting statewide propositions in North Carolina, Michigan, Kentucky, and Vermont as part of the National ACLU’s team. He has also supported America Votes, Brady, and Dream Corps on issues such as voting rights, gun violence prevention, and criminal justice reform.
Ivan is currently leading efforts for the cities of Menlo Park, Redwood City, Sanger, Santa Paula, and Yucca Valley among other clients. He also successfully managed field operations for Yes on H, a two-thirds requirement parcel tax for Oakland Unified School District, worked with LEG to elect Assemblymember Mia Bonta, and elected multiple labor-backed candidates in the March 2024 Primary Election.
Ivan is an Oakland native. He enjoys long hikes, reading, and spending time with his family. Ivan is bilingual with fluency in Spanish.
